Our Story

• Founded in 1923, through the drive of local curate Fr. John Crowley and a number of local farmers, Drinagh Coop is now one of the largest independent cooperatives in Ireland. With a turnover in 2008 in excess of €89m, the operation has 10 branch offices spread throughout West Cork. Our business is broken down into a number of key sectors including;

In 2008 Drinagh had over 640 liquid milk suppliers, supplying in excess of 28.6 million gallons of milk, with an average butterfat of 3.76% and average protein of 3.39%

Our objective is to create the best mineral supplement to solve the potential and actual mineral problems of the animal (herd or individual), from the best/most suitable products available; within the monetary constraints available to the farmer or stockman: and encompass related activities to achieve this aim; while including feed safety as a priority within our manufacturing system.”
